Use this self-care class as a springboard into or a recommitment of practices that can help achieve, maintain and improve your ability to care for others.
We'll combine movement practices (yoga) with breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation in this wonderful self-care class. Design your own self-care plan with the stretches, breathing practices and meditations that resonate most with you.
Approved for 4 continuing education hours in self-care through NCBTMB and 4 continuing education hours through YA in the YPLE category.

AGENDA (rough estimate)
*Introductions ~5 minutes
*Yoga practice- will focus mostly on range of motion of upper body but also includes gentle stretching for the whole body. Accessible to all. ~75 minutes
*Break ~20 minutes (a good time to have a meal/snack)
*Walking Meditation- this can be inside and/or outside. It’s up to you! ~20 minutes
*Break ~10 minutes
*Breathwork, Color Meditation w/breathwork ~15 minutes
*Mandala creation with chosen color ~35 minutes
*Break/finish mandalas ~10 minutes
*Mantra Mandala meditation with breathwork ~15 minutes
*Bringing it all together & designing your own self-care plan ~35 minutes

WHAT TO BRING
*Yoga mat. If you don't have one, we have plenty for you to use.
*Snacks/breakfast/lunch and water/drink

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
*This class is held on the 2nd floor. Staircase is not steep.
*Eating- it's best to refrain from eating a large meal for 60-90 minutes prior to our yoga practice at the beginning of class.
*Due to potential chemical sensitivities of your classmates, please refrain from wearing perfumes or oils to class.

Things come up that may bring about a need to change your class date. We ask that at least 2 weeks' notice is given if you need to make a class date change; and we'll do the same if a class needs to be rescheduled.
​There are no refunds, but we'll always reschedule your class to another date for those last-minute family emergencies or illness.
ACCOMMODATIONS & SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
This class may be held on the 2nd floor of our studio and there are 23 steps to reach this floor. Please let us know if steps are not accessible to you and we'll arrange to move the class to the bottom floor.
Due to potential chemical sensitivities of your classmates, please refrain from wearing perfumes or oils to class.
